With just one Serie A start to his name in 2015/16, Manolo Gabbiadini could be set to depart Napoli this summer, with Tottenham Hostpur and West Ham keen on him.
The Premier League duo are both set for European football next season and will be looking to add to their squad with the Italian international looking a discarded figure in Naples and therefore a potentially cut-price option.
According to Sportmediaset, Spurs and the Hammers could do battle for the forward’s signature in the summer as they are both currently tracking the striker’s progress under Maurizio Sarri at the Stadio San Paolo.
However, they may face a fierce rebuttle from Napoli, who wish to keep the 24-year-old despite offering him just five starts in the current campaign, most of which coming in the Europa League, where he’s scored four goals.
No doubt the form of attacking triumvirate Gonzalo Higuain, Jose Callejon, and Lorenzo Insigne has harmed Gabbiadini’s first-team opportunities, much like fellow Partenopei forward Dries Merterns.
That’s in stark contrast to the 20 appearances made in the second half of last season, having moved from Sampdoria for €13 million.
